The tools shall be designed to be inexpensive, easily administered, and quickly and easily scored, with results provided in a format that may be easily shared with parents and students. The vendors/developers of the tools have provided implementation information which includes the cost of the tool, what is needed to implement it, the support provided, how the tool is intended to be used, and with whom it should be used.

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) is the nation’s only ongoing representative survey of student achievement in core subject areas.
